CONNECTING POWER FOR PEACE

VERSE 6 fROM THE ART OF NAVY POEM WRITTEN BY ANDY SINGH

New challenges are imagined, old challenges considered, new fleets are built.

Power is reconstituted in delivery schedules, capability acquisitions and capacity developments.

The merger of industrial production with digital design and operation.

The aquatic merges with the digital to shape a global, multi-dimensional battlespace.

Hands let go of rope, and take up keyboards, touchscreens and heads up displays.

No longer do we scan the horizon for smoke or sail, But we mine for digital signatures of both friend and foe.

Shells and planes are no longer the tips of our spears.

Covert communications collected, collated and shared in coalitions, continue to shape the battle field beyond victory for our potential foes.

A battle never fought, is a battle won.

This is the art and design of modern naval power.
