Nichols’ wonderful book Blue Mind, which explores how being near, in, on or under water can make us happier, healthier, more connected and better at what we do. Its great field of blue, quiet white division and moving water seemed to hold the experience of the morning: agitation settling, attention returning, the senses finding their order again.
