What interests me is that this effect does not come from paint. It emerges through water, reflection, movement and light.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe abstraction in this work was discovered, not invented. It appeared briefly on the surface of the water, where reflected forms dissolved into a language of colour, line and instability. My role was to recognise it when it arrived and to isolate that fleeting visual event.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAs with much of my practice, the camera becomes more than a recording device. It becomes a contemporary perceptual tool, allowing me to find moments where the visible world slips unexpectedly into abstraction.
