Moving On Party - Gallery Event + Charity Art Auction
Saturday 7 February 2026, 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Venue: Ralph Kerle's Art, 36 Sydney Road, Manly NSW 2095. Before anything else - thank you. Whether you've visited this or another gallery of mine, brought a friend, shared a kind word, or simply followed along, your support has been important and means a lot. There's an endless joy in watching people step inside a space filled with art - the pause, the curiosity, the conversations that start with "what do you see?" Those moments are the real reason I've kept doing this, year after year. So I'd love to invite you to this special celebration, The Moving On Party. A relaxed, uplifting night with drinks, conversation, surprise entertainment and special guests - and we'll also hold a small art auction on the night. Importantly, a percentage of auction proceeds will go to support women's domestic violence services in Manly. It's a local cause that matters, and if you choose to bid, thank you - genuinely. Warmly, Ralph.

Internationally acclaimed fine-art photographer Ralph Kerle is coming home - literally - by opening a sophisticated new gallery at 36-38 Sydney Road, Manly, only metres from the beaches and waterways that inspire the majority of his work. The move follows a successful tenure in the former Billabong store on The Corso; the fresh location offers a more refined, purpose-built space that aligns with Manly's evolving cultural scene and growing appetite for premium art experiences. Local Waters, Global Reach. Kerle's signature imagery - captured while kayaking the sheltered waters of Middle Harbour, Fairlight and Manly Cove - has been exhibited from Palm Beach, Florida to the Rothko Museum in Latvia. Now, his latest series of large-scale water-reflection photographs returns to the very shoreline that birthed them. "Living with art is living with calm," says Kerle. "The rhythms of water reflections remind us to slow down, breathe and find balance - something city dwellers and tourists alike can benefit from." Opening Reception: Friday 22 August 2025, 6 pm - drinks & light entertainment. Gallery Hours: 10 am - 5 pm (Mon-Sat), 11 am - 4 pm (Sun).

Learn moreRalph Kerle opens exclusive gallery in Double Bay, announces partnership with Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation
Thursday 10 December 2020, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Venue: Ralph Kerle Gallery, Cosmopolitan Centre, 22 Knox St, Double Bay NSW 2028. (Gallery is now closed.) Internationally renowned artist Ralph Kerle is delighted to announce the opening of his very own gallery in Double Bay, just in time for a warm Sydney summer. He will also be launching fundraising initiatives with Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation. Ralph is a Sydney based photographic artist. His artworks are nothing short of captivating and hypnotic, as colours and other-worldly shapes seem to develop before our eyes. Using a digital camera, he captures subtle details of reflections on water, as he kayaks through Sydney Harbour and more recently the waterways in the USA, the UAE and Portugal. In the mid 1980s, Ralph was diagnosed with keratoconus; the slow deterioration of muscles in the cornea. Subsequently a corneal transplant saved the sight in his right eye whilst his left eye is still deteriorating. As a result, Ralph's rare condition allows him to see the world uniquely. His brain has translated this visual disability into the abstraction, movement and colour dominant in his artwork. Special guests CEO Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation, Linda Fagan and specialist eye surgeon Dr Con Petsoglou joined for an exclusive talk about how our vision and its driver, the brain, affects one's creativity.

Learn moreNew Works - Sydney, Portugal and Dubai
Friday 31 May 2019 to Wednesday 31 July 2019. Venue: Intercontinental Hotel, 117 Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW. Breaking News: The evening will feature a live-cross to The Mark Rothko Art Centre in Daugavpils, Latvia, where Ralph will be an international 'Artist-in-Residence' from April 2020, for a conversation with Inita Paegle, Curator, and Vineta Straznova, Owner, CREA Interior Design Gallery, Riga. 2019 has proved to be a genuinely ground breaking year for my work. Two new series of works have been created - one in Aveiro, Portugal and one in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Whilst the new works are still water based reflections, a breakthrough in content and colour can be observed because of the geography of the landscape and the light in these new environments. I have been offered two major international exhibition opportunities that will be announced at this May event with a special guest appearance by one of the curators. Really hope you can join me. Ralph.
