The Story

“"It is only when we are no longer fearful that we begin to create.” J. M. W. Turner

The brain registers this is a landscape from an offshore perspective, yet it is the hull of a moored yacht and reflection of light on it. The artwork pays homage to the work of the British landscape painter J.M.W.Turner who was an influential exponent of romanticism, an artistic movement of the late 1700s to mid-1800s that emphasized an emotional response to nature.

ORIGINAL WORK FEATURED IN THE INDETERMINATE SUBLIME EXHIBITION, ROTHKO MUSEUM, DAUGAVPILS, LATVIA
