The Story
Just Gentle was created on a recent early–morning kayak when I badly needed to slow down and breathe. As I drifted across the water, these soft ripples and pale reflections appeared – calm, buoyant, utterly unhurried. The image holds exactly what I felt in that moment: tranquility, quiet joy and a deep sense of peacefulness.
When I returned and saw the photograph on screen, the words that came to mind were simply “just gentle” – nothing more, nothing less. This work is my reminder that even in a busy week, there is always a place where the water, and the mind, can be still.
