The Story
Morning in Orange Heaven is a photo of a hull of a boat and its reflection on the surface of the water. It pays homage to the work of Mark Rothko, the American abstract expressionist who was considered the main influence amongst the colour field painters in the last century and is inspired by the great Australian landscape painter Tim Storrier. Storrier’s painting style reveals the vast panoramas of the Australian outback landscape accentuating its visual yet mysterious unconquerable distant intricacies.
