The Cartography of Flow
Signed Limited Edition 1 of 5
80 × 140 cm
Giclee print on museum quality archival paper - Giclee Print on Hahnemeuhle German Etching Rag 310gsm
The Story
The artwork is a photo of a reflection off the water. Its colour is “electric blue”. While bright blue shades have existed since antiquity, “electric blue” was not used as a colour name in English until 1845.
The shade was originally named after the colour of the ionised air glow produced during electrical discharges. But it is now also considered a representation of the colour of lighting, electric sparks and any vibrant blues that are metaphorically “electric”.
About the Coastal & Ocean Collection
Coastal & Ocean celebrates the quiet power and shifting moods of the sea. From tranquil shallows to sweeping horizons, these works distill the sensory experience of being near water — its calm, its vastness, its ever-changing surface. The collection reflects the coastline as a space of renewal and clarity, offering images that breathe, soften and bring the restorative presence of the ocean into any environment.
