The Story
I have been intrigued by this house boat moored for decades in Middle Harbour, Sydney, Australia. The artwork portrays two elements. The first is European Australian's quintessential love of the water and the desire to live near it or on it. The second is how vividly the works of the early Australian impressionist painters, Arthur Streeton and Tom Roberts are captured in the reflection.
