"Light or luminosity is created by the way elements are juxtaposed. They become reflective and a radiance comes from putting different things together." – Merce Cunningham, American Modern Dance Choreographer

The Story

All the Yellow Dance Notation artworks come from one vessel, Carpaccio, that has a bright yellow mast cover. It is moored in such a perfect position on Middle Harbour, Sydney Australia, that when the sun shines directly onto the vessel, new moving, dancing reflections are constantly being created. The beauty of this environment is that the confluence of weather conditions and the sun keep throwing up these glorious dancing moments as I kayak past.
