Identity is power.

Courage is power.

Coalitions are powerful.

Painters frame our memories with the courageous single ship actions on the high sea,

While memories shade the tedium of the strategic strangulation of our foes in coalitions with other navies.

Our power to collaborate, to pull into line, to manoeuvre and fight with others, has always preceded our security.

The design of our power has never been just in our fleet, but always with others—the Grand Fleet, Task Force 17, the Pacific Fleet, the Seventh Fleet, and with the Desert Shield multinational fleet.

We choose to fight alongside our friends.
